Geant in 7th anniversary promotion
Geant, the French hypermarket in Dubai that is going through a high-growth phase, has launched its seventh anniversary celebrations with a mega promotion, offering shoppers the chance to win prizes worth over Dh300,000 during a 17-day shopping carnival at the Ibn Battuta Mall, ending on June 2.
“With Geant currently going through a high-growth phase, we felt that it was appropriate to celebrate our 7th anniversary by offering mega rewards to our loyal shoppers. As summer temperatures soar and the UAE’s residents and visitors are drawn to the cool havens of shopping centres, our hypermarket at Ibn Battuta Mall provides us the perfect platform for hosting our line-up of exciting activities, and in the process providing greater value to our customers,” said Mohammad Ashfaq, country head of Retail Arabia, the master franchisee for Geant in the region.
We have created a carnival-like atmosphere to enrich the shopping experience of all our customers, and this is reflected in the programme that we have drawn up. It features a fine mix of fantastic promotions, special offers and bargains on a wide range of merchandise, plus fun activities for the family,” Geant merchandise manager Ranjith Punja said.
Geant has been operating in the region since 2001 and has hypermarkets in Dubai, Bahrain and Kuwait. Other than hypermarkets, Retail Arabia also owns and runs nearly 30 supermarkets under various brands in the region. Globally, Geant, which is owned by the Group Casino, has over 115 hypermarkets, and is the fifth largest hypermarket group in the world.
During the celebrations, shoppers spending a minimum Dh200 are entitled to a coupon that will be entered into the grand draw on June 3, offering 100 prizes. The same coupons are entered into daily draws for 10 shopping trolleys. The winners will win back the value they have shopped with Geant in the form of vouchers.
Geant is also offering shoppers the opportunity to avail themselves of zero-per cent installment on purchase of electronics above Dh1,000 through the credit cards of select banks.
